Location
Years ago, when C-N was first founded, the area was affectionally known as Mossy Creek. Today, Jefferson City boasts just under 10,000 residents and is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing municipalities in the state. The small town charm and beauty of this area fit the personality of the college perfectly. Jefferson City is located approximately 30 minutes from Knoxville, TN. Knoxville is a great place for C-N students to explore the many restaurants, acoustic cafes, and outdoor events found within the Downtown Area and West Knoxville region. Along with the Knoxville area, the resort cities of Gatlinburg, Sevierville, and Pigeon Forge are only a few miles from campus. Students frequent shopping malls and attractions that are located within these cities. On many weekends, you can find C-N students camping or hiking within the boundaries of the Great Smoky Mountains.
